Because I'm also a magazine cartoonist, I think about reaction shots, the contrast between the familiar -- a kid on a swing -- and the joke. |
As an illustration, however, I chose to focus on the action, trusting that the text would provide the counterpoint to the humor. And to further concentrate the drawing on the action, I asked the man and woman at the back of the line to find some other amusement. |
